Pros

• Almost all the study materials for the exam are included in the online course package so that it is not required to spend extra time researching and selecting other useful exam prep resources.
• Many study resources are downloadable so that students used to reading printed matters will be able to make use of many of these study aids while there is no internet connection or is not convenient to use the computer/mobile devices.
• The design and coding of the PMtraining website follows the latest trend and technique in website design. The PMtraining website is mobile optimized and students will be able to access all the course materials directly from their mobile phones (provided that there is WIFI or unlimited data otherwise the data charge would be enormous).
• The exam simulator and 1 full-length PMP mock exam included in this online course have built-in analytics, it will help students to understand their strengthens and weaknesses according to the key knowledge areas so that they will be able to focus their studies on the knowledge gaps.

Cons

• Since this PMtraining online course package includes almost all the required study materials by the same group of authors, students preparing for the exam may not be able to get exposed to different question and wording styles. This would be a disadvantage as the wording used in the real exam may be very different from that used in this course. It is recommended to purchase at least 1 other quality prep book in order to be exposed to a different style of writing/understanding of the project management concepts.
• The short 90-day access period gives not enough buffers for busy project managers that may need to postpone their studies owing to professional/personal needs. Extra money is needed for extending the access period to the online course.
• Only 1 full-length mock exam is included, students would need to purchase a separate exam questions / simulator package in order to get more practice.

Market Competition

My Recommendation

The PMtraining Certification Bootcamp On-Demand Course is on the more expensive side of the all online courses. But it does offer more study resources (e.g. PMBOK® Guide Knowledge Area Study Guide, Exam Prep Course Manual (E-Book), Printable “Memory Map” Exercise, 250+ Printable Course Slides, Formula Cheat Sheet, Printable Process Maps, Full Mock Exam and Knowledge Quizzes and Glossary, Test Taking Exercises, etc.). It is suitable for those Aspirants who would like to get all the study materials in one package without having to spend extra time to search for other quality study materials.
