From where I can earn 21 contact hours? What is cost? How PMI will recognize these 21 contact hours?
Edward Chung Staff answered 7 years ago In order to be eligible for the PMI-ACP® Certification exam, Aspirants need to obtain at least 21 contact hours of training in Agile methodologies. There are broadly two ways to obtain the PMI-ACP® contact hours:
- classroom lectures
- online training courses
In terms of cost, the classroom lectures would be much more expensive than online trainings. And PMI will require you to provide the course certificate, course outline and descriptions of the courses in order to assess whether your course fulfil the contact hours requirements. Or you can search for PMI-ACP® training courses which are offered by “PMI Authorized Training Partner (registered education providers) — the courses offered by PMI Authorized Training Partner are pre-approved by PMI and you will only need to present the course certificate in case of audit.
For your reference, I took the Agile PrepCast™ online training and passed the PMI audit without questions.
