Note: these PMP® Exam Amazon books will not offer you the 35 Contact Hours for your PMP® Registration / Application. PMP® Exam Amazon — Recommended Exam Prep Books

1. The PMBOK® Guide (A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge) published by Project Management Institute

The PMBOK® Guide is one of the recommended reference titles for the PMP® Exam. Almost every PMP® Certification Aspirants would study the PMBOK® Guide for the PMP® Exam. I read through the PMBOK® Guide Gudie twice during my PMP® Exam journey. It is highly recommended to read the original English version of the PMBOK® Guide for PMP® Exam Prep.

Though FREE download of the PMBOK® Guide is available you are a PMI paid member, many PMP® Certification Aspirants may want to get hold of a printed and bound PMBOK® Guide for easy reference and revision. See the preview at PMP® Exam Amazon:

2. Head First PMP®: A Learner’s Companion to Passing the Project Management Professional Exam — For Visual Learner

The Head First PMP®: A Learner’s Companion to Passing the Project Management Professional Exam is written by Jennifer Greene and Andrew Stellman. It is tailored for visual learners who prefer looking at charts and figures rather than long paragraph of texts. The Head First PMP® Book is written using “drawing on the latest research in neurobiology, cognitive science and learning theory”. It makes use of a lot of diagrams, tables, illustrations, etc. to help readers to memorize the knowledge of PMP® as quick as possible. 4. PMP® Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy

Another top PMP® Exam Prep book — the PMP® Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy — is available in Amazon but not on Kindle format. This PMP® Exam guide is often considered one of the bibles of PMP® Exam study and is suitable for those who would like to be best prepared for the PMP® Exam. It explains PMI-isms in the greatest depth that no others are near — PMI-isms are what considered right by PMI but not necessarily being practised in everyday project management work. PMP® Certification Aspirants will need the PMI-isms mindset to pass the PMP® Exam more easily. Besides, this PMP® Exam Prep book by Rita Mulcahy contains numerous case studies and practical knowledge that would be very useful for everyday work of project managers.

5. The PMP® Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try by Andy Crowe

The PMP® Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try by Andy Crowe is often considered the most “to-the-point” PMP® Exam Prep book with the least number of pages and yet covers the whole PMP® Exam syllabus. It contains what are important for the PMP® Exam and no more, including insider secrets, test tricks and tips, hundreds of sample questions for the PMP® Exam. Unlike the PMP® Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy, this guide by Andy Crowe serves only one purpose: to help PMP® Certification Aspirants to pass the PMP® Exam. PMP® can then get rid of this book after getting PMP® Certified — I have already done so by giving to another PMP® Aspirant.
