My professional qualification is Executive MBA and I am working in an educational institute as Assistant Director Quality Assurance. Am I eligible for PMP Certification Exam?
Edward Chung Staff answered 7 years ago As you already have an Executive MBA, you would need to have:
- at least 3 years of project management experience and a minimum of 4,500 hours leading and directing projects
- 35 Contact Hours of project management education
Have you accumulated enough project management experience? From your post title as “Assistant Director Quality Assurance”, outsiders cannot know well if you need to manage projects or just operations. You would need to have working experience in all the 5 process groups of the project management lifecycle (initiating, planning, directing, monitoring & controlling and closing the project).
For the project management education, you can obtain the Contact Hours online or in face-to-face classroom lectures with the former cheaper and more flexible. The Contact Hours can be about general project management or exam prep for the PMP exam.
