ITIL Foundation Exam Fee Increases Every Year
Just received the news that the ITIL® Foundation Certification Exam fee has been increase from the 1st day of 2017. And the price increase is not limited to the ITIL® Foundation Certification Exam but also other AXELOS Certifications (e.g. ITIL® Intermediate life cycle and capability modules, ITIL® Practitioner, PRINCE2® Foundation & Practitioner, PRINCE2® Agile, Managing Successful Program, P3O, MoV, MoP, M_o_R, MSP).

ITIL® Foundation Fee Increase
I was one of those who always procrastinate when it comes to taking professional examinations. It was around 5 years ago that I first planned to take the ITIL® Foundation Exam. And I thought well the exam fee was indeed quite cheap and I would try the exam in that year. But this never actualized. I thought I was too busy and forgot preparing for the professional exam. It was two years later that I had made up my mind to attempt the Foundation Exam — only to find that the exam fee had almost doubled! I took immediate action then as I learnt the following fact:
It is almost a practice for ITIL® Certification Fee (including that of the Foundation Exam) to increase every year.
The following table shows the percentage increase of the Certification Fee year-over-year:

The percentage increase of the ITIL® Foundation Exam Fee year over year is highly likely to be around 10% – 30%. And the hike comes into effect beginning 1st January of each year.
Since the ITIL® Foundation Certification is valid forever, it is highly recommended that you get certified the sooner the better. The bottom line: the ITIL® Foundation Exam is NOT that difficult and many Aspirants can pass the exam in one try with self-study or online training only.
Take Action Now
Do seize the day by enrolling in the ITIL® Online Training Courses including exam fee — the 1-year access period offered by some of the providers (e.g. GreyCampus) allows you to take the official Exam in the year to come. And remember, the Exam Fee will surely see another hike in 2018!
