Price Increase for PM PrepCast, Agile PrepCast and PM Exam Simulator from 2 May, 2016

Just got the announcement from the producer of PM PrepCast™ that the line of online PMP Exam and PMI-ACP® Exam prep products will get a price increase from 2 May, 2016. Details of the price change can be found below:

PM PrepCast™ and Agile PrepCast™

Most of the online exam prep courses for the PMP Exam and PMI-ACP® Exam will see an increase of 10%:

• PM PrepCast™ (online PMP Exam course) sees a price increase from US$179.99 to US$199
• Agile PrepCast™ (online PMI-ACP® Exam course) sees a price increase from US$179.99 to US$199

My Recommendation: For the above products, it is highly advisable that Aspirants make the purchase before 2 May, 2016 in order to enjoy the lower price since unlike most online exam prep products, the PM PrepCast™ and Agile PrepCast™ are downloadable video lecture files which can be retained by the student forever, it does not matter if you finish your course now or a year later. And the contact hours earned with PM PrepCast™ and Agile PrepCast™ are valid forever for the PMP and PMI-ACP® Exam respectively.

PM Exam Simulator 2.0

The price for the PM Exam Simulator undergoes a sharper increase (~25%) as the version has gone up from 1.0 to 2.0:

• PM Exam Simulator (online mock exam package) sees a price increase from US$99.99 to US$125

The producer of simulator will upgrade the software to version 2.0 on 2 May, 2016 which includes the added benefit of the unique “Live Feedback” feature — students using the software will be able to ask questions and make requests for clarifications of mock exam question answers directly within the exam simulator and a qualified PMP holder hired by the producer will provide the answers through email directly. There is no need to post the questions in other PMP exam forums in the hope of some nice guys with the required knowledge will be able to answer them. So far the PM Exam Simulator 2.0 is the only PMP exam mock question bank on the market with this useful feature.

My Recommendation: Though the producer of PM Exam Simulator 2.0 will provide an upgrade path (maybe with extra costs) for current users of PM Exam Simulator 1.0, the statistics for mock exam taken will not be migrated to the new system. If Aspirants plan to take the exam after June 2016, it is highly advisable NOT to purchase the current version of PM Exam Simulator now. For those who would like to get certified before June 2016, the PM Exam Simulator 1.0 is indeed among the best quality mock exam question banks that can be found on the market and most of the questions found in version 2.0 is the same as that in version 1.0. The PM Exam Simulator has been helpful for many exam takers including me.
