After passing the PMI-ACP exam …

After passing the PMI-ACP exam

[For PMI-ACP® computer based test (CBT)] After 3 hours of finishing and checking the 120 PMI-ACP® exam questions with your full attention, you will be presented with a blank screen after clicking the “End Exam” button. Don’t worry, this is just an indication that the PMI server is checking and computing your score for the PMI-ACP® exam (not a computer error). But before you get your PMI-ACP® exam results, you will be asked to fill in a survey about your PMI-ACP® exam experience and the performance of the exam centre staff.

Afterwards, a congratulation message will appear on the computer screen if you have passed the PMI-ACP® exam. This is the very moment you are “conferred” the PMI-ACP® credential. Clicking the “confirm” button will lead you to another page showing your “proficiency” levels on the domains tested on the PMI-ACP® exam. You can then click the “confirm” button again to log out of the exam session and walk out of the exam room.

The exam centre staff will print you the PMI-ACP® exam report with your overall performance in the exam (pass or fail) proficiency levels for the domains. Do make sure that there is an exam centre stamp on the report to indicate its authenticity. You must keep the exam report till your PMI-ACP® certificate arrives as the only proof of your PMI-ACP® credential. (Though it is rare, there are reported cases that PMI server did not register the exam performance of the candidate and the candidate needed to appeal to PMI to get the PMI-ACP® certificate.)

    Hi Edward!
I would like you for such great resource. It really helped me a lot. To be honest I registered to the exam only 1 month prior the test itself. First week it was daily study of different web resources and 2 weeks of high volume on work so I didn’t had a chance to prepare enough. and only 3 days prior exam I studied all your free domain descriptions and it really helped me lot. Not to misinform other candidates I had some practicale experience and 2 Live training, so it’s not so easy to pass the exam. P.S. Today I’ve received my test results with “Pass” result and I’m really glad ).
One more time Edward for https://edward-designer.com 🙂

  7. Hi John,

Congratulates on passing the PMI-ACP exam! I got to know at least 2 PMI-ACP candidates who have got Proficient in the exam after 15 Sep.

  8. John says:

I took the PMI ACP exam on 6th Nov and I got Passed. However, all my proficiency level displayed “Moderate Proficiency”, I just wished to know if anyone after 15 Sep (new sylabbus) got “Proficiency”. What I have heard is PMI collects the data from the users choice and marks as the right answer, in doing so, is PMI not having enough data to with new syllabus to announce any candidate as Proficient?

  9. Joseph Abboud says:

I took the exam on October 25th., and passed it.

As of today, I neither received an email from PMI reflecting that I had passed the course, nor is it showing on the registry of PMI.

    What to do? Please help.
    Thank you

  10. Deborah Burns says:

I took the exam on Sept. 25, 2015, and had to wait until Oct. 22, 2015, to get the results. I PASSED!!!! But that was a long, nerve-wracking wait but well worth it!

  11. Terrence Cumberland says:

The results for anyone taking the exam after Oct 15, 2015 will be available immediately after finishing the exam. That is, there will be a congratulatory screen, and there will be a score report with proficiency levels. The certificate should arrive in 6 to 8 weeks

    • Hi Terrence,
Thanks for making the point clearer. Yes, PMI-ACP exam takers will be able to know whether they can pass the exam or not after submitting the exam (and after answering the survey). They will be able to add the PMI-ACP title after they have passed immediately. But they will still need to wait 6 to 8 weeks to receive the printed PMI-ACP certificate.

  12. Fares says:

    Greetings,

Thank you for the info on this blog. I have a question if I may ……. someone just took the test yesterday and ended up with a message stating that the exam result will be email to her on or before October 21st ……. I was under the impression that the results are immediate just like any other PMI exam.

The letter she got from Prometric center stated ” Please note, official score results will not be issued immediately for this exam”

Do you have an input ??

    BR,

    Fares

    • Thanks for your comment. Since the PMI-ACP Exam was changed on 15 July 2015, the new PMI-ACP exam that is administered between 15 July and 14 October will have the exam scores delivered on or before 22 October 2015. PMI is obviously doing some statistically adjustment to the passing score, etc. during this period so that the difficulty of the new PMI-ACP Exam will be on par with the previous one.

After this trial period, the PMI-ACP Exam score will be delivered immediately after pressing the submit button.
