I am Edward. I passed the ITIL® Foundation Exam with a score of 95% (38/40).
To be frank, the ITIL® Foundation Exam is quite easy, even if you study for the exam while working full-time and have family obligations. I get ITIL® certified (and PMP®, PMI-ACP®…) while have to take care of my daily full-time job and my family with 3 kids. It is doable and I will share my experience and tips below.(If you are PMP® or PMI-ACP®, you will find this exam to be quite easy)
I studied for around 2 months, reading all sorts of reference books and doing sample ITIL® exam questions during my free time.

Though the ITIL® Foundation exam is not too difficult, getting to know how to register and prepare for the ITIL® exam is somewhat more difficult.
That’s why I am posting my ITIL® Foundation journey on my blog to help fellow Aspirants to obtain the qualification easier. It is possible that you can pass the exam with a week or two of intense study.
After an in-depth research of the exam requirements, I have found out the good part is that there is NO education or experience requirements and the certification will never expire. Anyone wishing to get certified can do so with self-study. The not-so-good part is however it is very difficult to sit only the exam without buying the study course in a bundle.
As I cannot find a comprehensive study guide on ITIL® Foundation Exam on the internet during my exam prep, I have made up my mind to create one myself after I have successfully passed the exam. Below is the step by step guide to help Aspirants to get certified:
